This exhibition features a varied selection of figurative work from internationally renowned photographers Frank Horvat and John Swannell.
Frank Horvat, a french fashion photographer, has been photographing for over fifty years. His career started as a photojournalist and he is most well known for bringing his reportage style to fashion photography. He was the leading fashion photographer of the fifties and sixties and he continues to transcend the photographic boundries today with his diverse, spontaneous and complex style.
His work has been featured in every major magazine publication, for example Harper's Bazaar and Vogue. This exhibition features his colour work, combining his fashion photography with some more classical nudes.
London-born John Swannell is one of Britain's leading photographers. His work is highly respected, with a background at Vogue Studios and as an assistant to David Bailey. He has photographed everyone from HM The Queen to contemporary pop singer Will Young, however this exhibition is focusing on his beautiful figurative work.
His instantly recognisable and individual style shines in this exhibition, which features mostly work from his most recent book, "Nudes." The photographs contained within "Nudes" elegantly portray the female form through confident handling of light and shadow, forming a collection of 'striking, powerful and spectacular' images.
Exhibition runs from March 24th to May 31st 2007
