Rather fittingly “Cornwall at the Eclipse” is premiered for the first time at Tristan’s Photographic Gallery, in Wadebridge Cornwall. The exhibition includes a distinctive take on Padstow Harbour and surrounding areas.
The selection of photographs is representative of Parrs interpretation of the Great British Public. Cornwall at the eclipse offers the opportunity to see Cornwall, and its visitors highlighted in Parrs unique perspective and humour.
Initially the colours appear garish and composition exaggerated whilst at the same time the viewer recognizes a familiarity with the photographs and are able to understand the humor of how we present ourselves to others and what we value. The photographs are a reflection of Cornwall during the eclipse with a sense of recognition for the viewer alongside Parr’s personal interpretation.
Tristan’s Gallery is delighted to be exhibiting and representing the work of Martin Parr, the images are limited to editions of 10 and this will be the first time they have been exhibited, We recommend early viewing or if you are unable to visit the gallery in person all images are available to order through our website.
