The "Bed-Ins for Peace" were a pair of nonviolent protests that were conducted by John Lennon and Yoko Ono in 1969. These events were a creative and peaceful way for the couple to advocate for world peace and protest against the Vietnam War.

The first Bed-In took place in Amsterdam, Netherlands, from March 25 to March 31, 1969, at the Amsterdam Hilton Hotel. John and Yoko invited the press to their hotel room, where they stayed in bed for a week. During this time, they discussed their views on peace and gave interviews, all while surrounded by signs and posters promoting peace.

The second Bed-In occurred later that year, from May 26 to June 2, 1969, at the Queen Elizabeth Hotel in Montreal, Canada. Similarly, they stayed in bed and invited the media to join them for discussions about peace and their vision for a world without war.

The idea behind the Bed-Ins was to attract attention to the cause of peace and encourage people to think about alternative, nonviolent ways to protest against war and conflict. Although they were met with varying degrees of skepticism and criticism, the events became iconic moments in the peace movement of the 1960s. John Lennon and Yoko Ono used their celebrity status to raise awareness about the importance of peace and love in a time of great social and political unrest.
